Drop Table Technique
Our chiropractor utilizes a special table designed to lift and drop slightly in key places all along the spine. They can also adjust the tension in the table to customize the adjustment to the patient. This enables them to apply less force, with more accuracy, to make a chiropractic adjustment to the body. This technique does not utilize twisting motions like those applied in a manual chiropractic adjustment. The specialized table allows for increased flexibility and less stiffness at each joint along the hips, ribs, and spine. This type of adjustment allows the joints to function better, improve stability, and decrease pain. It is also safer than manual adjustments to do post-surgery (after healing) or post-injury. For example, someone who has a spinal fusion. It is important to work with the spine above and below the fusion to keep as much function in those joints as possible. It could also apply to an athlete who has limited mobility in their hip due to repetitive injury. The drop table technique can help restore range of motion and function to help the athlete’s comfort and performance. Other conditions where this technique is helpful include herniated disks, sciatica, and joint disfunction.

Deep Tissue Massage with an Adjustment
Our chiropractor applies deep tissue massage for the first 10 minutes of the adjustment. This helps address the muscles and ligaments that could be pulling the bones out of place. It is helpful to release any knots or trigger points in the muscle and helps the adjustment last longer.
If you would rather not have the massage, we offer an adjustment only appointment.
Please see our prices page for pricing information.
Impulse IQ and Activator
If manual adjustments are not a good fit for you the doctor can use an equally effective and especially gentle technique using an adjusting instrument. These tools deliver a specific force into the joint to create an adjustment – just like that of a manual adjustment although there is no immediate ‘pop’. These tools may be best suited for patients such as children, older adults and others who are apprehensive about manual adjustments.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Also known as muscle scraping, this myofascial technique is used to release muscle tension and fascial adhesions in the connective tissue. Your doctor may use this on a variety of conditions to improve circulation, decrease muscle pain, and promote healing in the area.
Kinesio Taping
You may think KT taping is only for your favorite olympian or elite athlete, however; the application of KT tape can be used on a variety of common conditions in all patients. Our chiropractor may suggest the application of KT tape to decreasing swelling and bruising when healing from a sprain/strain injury or provide added support to muscles and joints during daily activities.
